2019 in retrospect: THANKFUL
2019 is almost over! Am I excited? Am I glad? Tbh, I really can’t say, majorly because, in recent years, I have stopped being so freaked about the new year, new months and all that. This time of the year, things become slow and a lot of people start shifting tasks to ‘next year’ when really the whole concept of the calendar is just for us to keep track of time – not to be ruled by it. What does SUCCESS mean to you?
Since completing my medical internship year, I’ve increasingly become occupied with trying to define, for myself, what success means. I’m certain you’d gain a thing or two from their experiences, which can also be applied to other aspects of life. Enjoy! Elizabeth… …is a…

INTERNING FAR FROM HOME; THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE IN-BETWEEN.
It’s usually not a very easy decision to work away from your loved ones, even if it’s only for a year. I know this first hand as I had to complete my internship year away from loved ones and familiar faces/environments. It wasn’t an easy decision to make and I considered quitting a couple of times, but I made it through regardless. I’m not alone in this – I know a couple of people who had to go through something similar, moving to different states for their intern year. I decided to reach out and ask them to share their experiences and they obliged to share. Anita… …is a medical…
